Feels Like TODAY

I run a Challenge on SB.com. My dear friend Charley has agreed to help me by posting a journaling challenge this week. We are to blog about the first time we met our sig. other.

Walking down the halls of my highschool sophmore year I was awestruck but a handsome and tall boy in a red and grey letterman jacket. My eyes met his sparkeling green eyes and I was hooked...you just couldn't wipe the smile from my face. I turned to my best friend(she was always by my side), and said"Thats the guy I am gonna marry." She scoffed, "you don't even know his name" "I can easily find that out." Most people totally don't belive that i KNEW that very moment but i did. I knew he and I had a future. Little did I know that future was a year and two jerk boyfriends away....(i had been praying for the man i was to marry...and God sent him to me...but I had to learn some things first)
Fast forward about a year and three months to my 16th birtday...I was hanging by my pool with my best girls, in my purple swim suit...just being crazy...really crazy. I came up out of the water and looked up and it was none other than the man of my dreams...this was our third meeting....Why was he at my party....I didn't invite him...but i didn't care. I was a little embarred about how he had seen me acting so silly with my friends...but he was at my party. I just couldn't get over it. I spent the whole night talking to him. We had alot in common. I thought we probally woulndn't talk after that, but two days later he called and asked me on a date. I said yes before I asked my parents. Luckily my Dad was happy and said I could go. (My mom on the other hand thought he was to old for me.) Our first date was to Imos Pizza and to see the movie snake eyes..(this cricket just kept chirping in the theater...we still laugh about it) I had an amazing time with him. When i got home I prayed. I asked God to give me a very very obvious sign that Jeremy was the one for me. I prayed that he would call at 6:00pm on my clock wich i was going to set ahead thirteen minutes. I put all my faith in that prayer. The next day he did call right as my clock turned 6:00...and I knew , God answered my prayer.


I didn't love Jt at first site, but I knew he was the one. Our love has taken work,time, and trust. But our relashionship was started on faith...a side note...he was praying for the girl he was to marry as well...and he remebers that same moment on the stairs in the hall of our highschool...Thank you God!
