This Ones for my Mom...I havn't killed my roses

My mom bought Kennedy some rose bushes early this spring. I am known for killing pretty much everything. I told mom, those will die...I have no doubt. Well I was wrong because so far they continue to flourish. I went out and took pictures after the rain just to prove it. :)

Thankful Thursday

It has been a good long while since I have sat down on a Thursday, to post my Thankful Thursday Post. Not because I am not thankful, Lord knows I am. I am so incredibly blessed. Just because I have been a new level of busy these past few months. I have always been making an effort to stay off the couch and use my iPhone for my e-girl needs. But today I want to share how amazingly blessed I have been this week alone.

We have been going to the summer movie at the local theater every week. It has been really fun and It is truly something I look forward too. This week I got to take my nephew Braden home with us. I had promised him some ice cream the week before, so off we went. This was a challenging trip as he is potty training and I was scared to death he would pee in my car and then I would be in trouble for not taking him potty. Potty training=stress! But I was blessed and he did awesome. We ate our ice cream, which was yummy. Him and K had an amazing time laughing about the mess they were making. They are just joy! I was so blessed by that outing.

I was even more blessed yesterday. I got to spend time with my youth group..like every week. Some come eat dinner at our home, we also pick some up on the way to church. Both of theses times are times I cherish. There is nothing inherently special about them at all, they are just times to share and cherish. I love the stories they share and there thoughts on the bible and life. My youth kids are so cool. I am so blessed to be called by God to do this job. I pray he will continue to bless in that area.

Today was also really a great day.K and I had a dentist appointment. I deeply fear the dentist and I commonly hate the way the dentist makes you feel...I guess I have always had bad experiences. I didn't share any of this with Kennedy and really talked up the dentist and encouraged her about the situation. She again amazed me with her awesome spirit. Kennedy has not a fear in life, she is open to new things and is brave and strong. This is an attribute I just love about her.

Beyond that I had a great dentist appt. We went to a new dentist today (the old one was undesirable and out for money I learned today) My old dentist had told me I had $$$$ many things wrong with my teeth and that I needed close to $4000 dollars worth of work, I just had a gut feeling about this and was compelled to try a new dentist so I did. I could not have been more excited to learn that none of that work was at all necessary. NONE OF IT!! Answer to prayers!!!!!!!!! The new Dentist said my teeth look great and I just have some minor staining...and I am a tooth grinder this is a $150 fix. That I can take. The office was awesome everyone was nice. I had a great experience today at the dentist and that never happens. I could not be more excited or blessed by this...SERIOUSLY!!

N - Nicknames: Boobah (given to me by me adorable nephew) Day Day (my dad and my bro called me that and now a lot of the little kids I know start out calling me that) Aunt Day, Babe. When I was in school this awful mean boy called me stuck in the mud, cause I was always afraid to get in trouble...bad times! Oh and my dear friend Britt calls me D.
O - Overnight Hospital Stays Other Than Birth: is this other than my birth or the birth of my child? Well anyway none that I can recall, you would have to ask my mom I guess.
P - Pet Peeve: To many to list....when people say irregardless, that is NOT the proper word it's regardless. I think I have a lot of language based pet peeves, another is when people say WARSH instead of WASH.
Q - Quotes You Like: Success is my only option. (I am embarrassed to say but that is a quote from Eminem) Angels on your bumpers! that is a thing we always have said to each other when I was growing up, and now we say it to each other here.

S - Siblings: I have a brother who I love and miss, Keith. I am also blessed with those who are my siblings by love, I have a great SIL and BIL, Nate and Vicki, and then I have Matt, Brock and Shawnah who I love very much.

V - Vegetable You Dislike: Eggplant. My sil tried to get me to eat that when I was pregers with Kennedy and I refused..she said it was rumored to make you go into labor.

My darling hubby is soooo sweet!

My adorable husband is so sweet to me. I had been complaining, and suggesting that I really needed some earrings as I had gotten mine pierced recently, and the other night we were out at Kohls and I wanted to buy some earrings..he really fought me on the issue. The ones I wanted were $10, but he just was like NO, they are ugly I don't like them. I ended up buying different ones that were circle not square (i wore square ones in our wedding and I let a friend borrow them and they were lost..so I wanted square to replace them) Anyway yesterday I went to the mail box and there was a package for me!!! I opened it quickly and it was these lovely earrings for me. I just love them. I think it was so sweet of him to give me the surprise...Thanks babe!!!
