Today is Picture Day

I don't think I have posted this many photos since our trip to Disney World in December. Please forgive me for the photo overload. Kennedy finished swimming lessons this week and passed on to the next level. I am really proud of her, she faced her fear for the water head on and overcame. There were some days that she was determined not to participate and some days when she definitely was not putting her head in the water, but when it was all over she was able to jump(with assistance) from the diving board and go under.

The drop...

This was a scary moment for me. I was certain she was going to come up crying. She did let out a sound of distress, but then realized she was fine. Her distress quickly changed to pride.

They got to play in the play area on the last day of class. I have to say it looked very fun. I would really like to take K back one day before the summer comes to an end.

This slide was a huge hit with her. I have to say it looked uber fun.

Here are a few photos of Kennedy as she worked on her skills. She was able to learn to fully submerge her face for 3 seconds, do a supported front float and supported back float, blow bubbles in the water, do supported kicking and arm movements.

I am really proud of the success Kennedy had with her swim class. I really hope we are able to continue them.
I also wanted to share some pictures from our churches Independence Day Celebration. I think everyone had a fantastic time. I know we did. Kennedy and JT participated in a 3 legged race, K had loads of fun with that. She also loved showing off her cool Hula Hoop skills.
