Yesterday Kennedy had four hours of very good sleep. She breathed quietly and with out much effort, she didn't cough so hard she couldn't really sleep and she didn't flip around the bed all afternoon. I had to take a picture of this moment, because moments like this have been rare the past few months. It seems as spring approached her allergy and breathing issues have just gotten worse. I have really struggled this week seeing how miserable she is, but I see a change in the future. Kennedy's surgery is this Thursday. Please lift her up to the Lord. I pray this surgery will be the change she needs to begin to feel better and not always have to feel "bad" as she puts it. Thank you so much for the prayers you have already sent up for her. If you could also pray for me, pray that I am able to keep my patience through the coming weeks and be a loving mom to her. Pray that I don't get worn down and that God will hold me up. Thanks so so much.
Today we took Kennedy out for Imo's pizza and to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. I have to say I thought Monsters vs. Aliens was pretty good. I am a Reese Whiterspoon fan and even as animation she did not disappoint. The story had some really good lessons about how it doesn't matter what you look like, it's who you are and sticking with your friends even till the end. Two lessons Kennedy prob didn't pick up on but that's okay. It was very funny during the film she turned to us and said "This is turning out to be pretty good." I guess she didn't have high expectations!!!

ReplyDeleteAhhh yess! My sweet Nini went thru that last October. I had a harder time than she did!! She wanted to go to the mall on the way home from the surgicenter! I'll pray for your little sweetheart!
