Thankful Thursday and Sweet Shoppe Blog Challenge

Today is Thankful Thursday!!! I have really been enjoying doing my thankfulness/blessings on the blog. It has really opened my eyes to all the things I have been blessed with that I simply overlook on a day to day basis.
So what am I thankful about this week?

1. I am thankful that we had a snow storm. Because of this snow storm my husband was able to work from home two days and Kennedy has had only one day of school. I got to spend more time that usual with both of them, as a result of some yucky weather.
2. I am thankful for sitting on the swing with my nephew and holding his hand. Those are the little moments I just cherish.
3. I am thankful for an encouraging card I received from a special friend this week. The card was given to me at a time when I didn't think I could take anymore. It was uplifting and reassuring.
4. I am thankful for the mess I have in my kitchen (that I am currently cleaning). Having that mess means I took time to spend with those I love. We enjoyed good meals together, we are not hungry and we had time with each other.
5. I am thankful that I was born in America. I am free. Free to worship the one true God and I can talk about it and not be punished for my beliefs.

Today on the Sweet Shoppe Blog there is a little challenge so of course I wanted to take part...It is about resolutions and if you will keep them. I have to say I have been doing pretty good.
